Wall-and-pawn strategy · two minutes to learn
Pallwall
Get your pawn to the far side of the grid before your opponent gets to theirs. Each turn you either take one step — or spend a wall to send them the long way round. You may block, but you may never seal someone off completely.

How it works
Step one
Step or wall
On your turn you move your pawn one square up, down, left or right — or you place one wall piece anywhere along the grid lines. Never both.
Step two
Walls cost you
You start with a fixed stock of walls and they never come back. A wall may not cross another, and it may never leave a player with no route at all to their goal row.
Step three
Reach the far row
First pawn to touch the opposite edge wins. Meet head on and you jump straight over — or slip around the side if a wall is behind them.
